The Williamston junior varsity girls’ tennis team traveled to Portland and won their match 5-3. Representing the Hornets were:

Singles-

4. Bri O’Toole lost 1-6, 2-6

2. K. Ellsworth/C. Geyer won 6-1, 6-2
3. C. Donohoe/ M. Hoffman won 6-0,6-2
4. C. Risch/ A. Paruk won 6-3, 7-5

“Overall, our girls did a good job,” said junior varsity coach Phil Brillantes. “Some of them got nervous a bit, especially those in the close matches, but they played very well and pulled out a tight, highly contested match,” he concluded.
